As a driver you must....
Use tachograph charts on every day on which you drive starting from the point you take over the vehicle. The chart should not normally be removed before the end of the working period, but can be left in the vehicle to record daily rest. If the chart is removed at the end of the day, then a manual entry of start and finish times should be made. No chart should be used to cover a period of more than 24 hours.
Enter on the tachograph chart....
- surname and first name
- date and place where the record begins and ends
- the registration number or numbers of the vehicle or vehicles
- the odometer readings:
a) at the start of the first journey
b) at the end of the last journey
c) at the time of any change of vehicle, recording both vehicles odometer readings
d) the time any vehicle change takes place
