Daily rest
- standard, 11 hours rest required in 24 hours (counting forward from start of duty)
- may be reduced to 9 hours 3 x per week.
- splitting, 12 hours rest required in 24 hours (counting forward from start of duty) maximum of 2 periods one of at least 9 hours (which must be at the end of the day), other of at least 3 hours.
- two man crew, 9 hours rest required in 30 hours (counting forward from start of duty) and the presence of another driver is optional for the first hour.
