Weekly rest must be taken after no more than 6 daily driving periods,
but may be delayed until end of the 6th day.
In any two consecutive weeks, a driver must take at least two standard weekly rest periods (45 hours each) or
one standard weekly rest period and one reduced weekly rest period (at least 24 hours).
Reductions in weekly rest down to 24 hours can be taken anywhere, not just away from base, and will need to be compensated
by the end of the third week following the reduction.
