Daily rest must be recorded either by leaving the chart in the tachograph head or by manual entry on the chart.
If the tachograph head breaks down, you must complete a full record which would have otherwise been recorded by the equipment.
This is usually done on the back of the chart.
Damaged or dirty charts must not be used and spare charts must be adequately protected.
